::The name of the place is actually Korean and is pronounced “Waikiki Minbag”, which means “Waikiki Bed and Breakfast”. I have never stayed there, but live in the area. While I cannot comment on the conditions for residents, the exterior of the building looks clean and well-kept. The problem I have with the place is the noise. At random times during the day and night, I have heard loud arguments breaking-out with police sometimes having to be called. Whether the arguments are between residents or between residents and visitors, I really couldn’t say because I don’t know the people who stay there. The arguments could occur at any time, but I’ve noticed them happening in the middle of the night up to the early morning hours. The neighboring buildings close by seldom seem to have the same level of disruption and I haven’t seen police called to those buildings nearly as often. The majority of the police calls seem to go here. One may assume that a bed and breakfast so close to Waikiki would have mostly tourists or students as residents. However, the tenants I have seen don’t seem to fit such profiles. In fact, despite the place having a Korean name, I’ve never noticed Koreans staying there. The residents I’ve noticed seem to have all been Americans. I could go on, but I’ll just finish this review by stating that I personally wouldn’t stay there, under any circumstances. Find someplace else where you could sleep all night without a loud screaming argument breaking-out unexpectedly.

::1867 Kahakai Dr THIS IS AN ILLEGAL DRUG HOUSE run by a Korean women named CHO JEE WHITE. This house is under surveillance and being investigated by the HPD and FBI . 15-20 drug deals a day happen out front parked by the fire hydrant. There is also an asian man that will come out, get in a buyers car, ride around the block, and distribute drugs. He then is dropped off on the other side of the block and walks back around into the house. ALSO CONTAINS AN ACTIVE PROSTITUTION RING. Pimps sit outside on chairs in the driveway through out the night. Constant screaming and violent assaults by prostitutes, drug dealers, and the house owner occur daily and in the middle of the night. There have been several reports of theft and assault upon tenants. There is a constant flow of drugs coming from 1867 Kahakai Dr to the indigents on the Ala Wai canal.
