  The park can begin or end here but most if not all joggers and bike riders love this park . It has all if not most amenities . Beginning at Stuyvesent cove entrance located at ave C and 17thst make a right at the entrance of the park and you could ride your bike or jog or even walk for exercises and just to view across the river see people fishing, yes the fish is good and it is edible. Continuing the ride there are bike lanes from 17th all the way around the island to the George Washington bridge and even across to New Jersey. All day through your journey around the island you'll see that there is plenty to do and all the sights to see you can ride your bike to the boat at the staten island ferry terminal that would take you to a bike or walk island the only vehicles permitted there are bikes Its gouvenors island once a military facility when yiur there take a look at the dates of these buildings they were there when George Washington was alive i'm not what part the island played during the war with the British but the cannons have dates on them. Take a look if your there, back at Manhattan if you continue your ride or walk you'll find tennis courts a roller rink that was around in the 40's til present we have astro turf and real dirt baseball fields 2 located at8th st real dirt and 2 more on Houston st. Then the other 2 are of astro turf. Under construction is the jogging track with soccer in centerfield and in the corner is an area for workout buffs . There's so much more to see along your journey you should take a diary to remember all the beauty you'll see. Ohhh, don't forget to see the highline along your journey. Enjoy your day in the park.
