::I was in a situation where extenuating circumstances required me to fill a Rx when another pharmacy was closed. My Doctor had called to discuss the situation and confirm with Village Apothecary that they had the Rx i stock and could fill it - I received a note saying it was confirmed and thought all was fine. I then got a call back from Arnelle, who was rude and condescending, plainly stating that "NO" they would not fill it. He made no attempt to help me resolve the issue, and while I was speaking with him to try and pinpoint the problem so I could explain to my Doctor, he actually HUNG UP on me mid-sentence! I was so stunned at this treatment that I was in tears. I will NEVER give my business to this place, and hope this review saves you from being treated in a similar horrid manner. I can hardly believe a local place that purports to care about their neighborhood would treat a customer this was, especially given that my Doctor had already called and discussed the extenuating circumstances with them. I plan to discuss this with Village Apothecary's management, and have also discussed this treatment with my provider. In my opinion they should never fill prescriptions with these dismissive, combative, cold-hearted humans.

::After being a customer for decades. Called for a eye drop refill. A computer system was down so instead of saying. Will send it now and process payment when system comes back up. Instead this is what I am told : You will need pay full price and when we process it later in the day we will sort out the refund. I worked in a pharmacy for two years when younger. This would never happen, especially to a known and active customer. Making even less sense I had an house account making payment a non issue when system was up. This is a result of an ownership change none of the same pharmacists are there, and zero familiarity with life long customers. So beware of other positive reviews as they harken from another time. My recommendation is Bigalow they are the oldest and most reputable pharmacy. I try avoiding posting anything negative online but this should serve as a heads up to those in the village that looking for a traditional pharmacy with service that matches.
