  I've been there in my youth during school field trips! Ideal for classes and groups on field trips! Very educational with the space observatory!!!

  I just love how beautiful and emblematic the mansion looks. The museum also offers very interesting facts about the people who lived there. I have been there several times and I never get tired of the amazing views this place has to offer. I just wish they had a longer schedule than they currently do have. other than that I think it is worth it to have a look at the past through the mansion and its surroundings.

  This is a very nice museum. Some areas might be creepy to some (old buildings, dead fish in jars, shrunken heads), but for most people, it should be fine. It also has a brand new planetarium. This is really cool. I liked the Long Island Skies show.

  This house is wonderful & unique in USA. Went in there today & it was well worth it. Lot of history & Stuffed animal collection there. The staff were wonderful. The only problem was no photography allowed, I was very much letdown by that, other wise nice place to spend your half day.

  I loved this place. We came in late fall and enjoyed exploring the grpunds. The area is pretty compact and you can cover it in under an hour. The real highlight are the views from the mansion to the sound below. The mansion is beautiful and reminds me of Italian villa. They also host multiple events during the holidays so try to look at the calendar. Planetarium is world class and relatively inexpensive for what you get.
