  Was excited to see arctic char on the menu-- and very disappointed to learn that they were substituting salmon. Despite the waiter's claim that they are "very similar," there is a definite difference and I far prefer char. The house made tagliatelle was the clear winner at our table. Background music was 1970s folk music, which seemed a bit out of place. A very pretty restaurant with an interesting menu and good service.

  Attended multiple events at The Garrison and, as others have mentioned, the views are amazing when the weather permits it. The events I've been to on days rainy days have been just as beautiful as the venue is just as beautiful inside. Great food, beautiful grounds and accommodating staff.

  We had the Charcuterie which was excellent. Tuna Sashimi, which was excellent,. Florida Red Snapper with Fiddle Heads, excellent. Maine Lobster Risotto, excellent. And a Chocolate desert that is a Chocoholic's dream. The food here is arguably the best in metro New York, the view from the deck is gorgeous. The Only thing that made this less than perfect experience was the service. While we were enjoying our appetizers our entrees were brought out. Not acceptable. No apology offered, definitely not acceptable. Still, all in all, one of the best meals you can ever have.

  The Valley Restaurant is simply amazing, with beautiful mountain views and the Hudson River running right past it. Awesome staff, great food, beautiful venue.

  Beautiful setting overlooking the Hudson River, surrounded by forests and hills. Amazing menu and as importantly, a professional, friendly and anticipatory staff. Daniel, Cara, James and the entire team here make every visit special. Terrific establishment!!
