::Pretty good care here. Since COVID/low staffing it's taken longer to get appts, but still not bad. Compared to the new, big VA hospital it's scruffy (and parking underneath is sketchy), but I feel like I'm treated well here. Hope other vets have the same experience.

::Went here to see my PCP, but he was out so I got stuck with Dr. Martinez. I advise to my fellow veterans to stay away from him. I needed an ultrasound for possible blood clots and he said it was a waste of resources. This is why people hate the VA because of doctors like him. We served and did our time. Dr. Martinez cut me off and just continued to tell me that I don't need the scan. I have met other VA doctors who actually care, but this doctor needs to be released. In addition, the front staff even stated that he has multiple complaints against him. Again, stay from from Dr. Martinez, if you want actual quality care.

::For Black Vets. Be careful if you deal with the Southesat Asia lady. She refuses to address Blacks by Proper proniuns and if you insist she will tamper with your medical treatment\appointments. I think its attempted murder. Remember Ghandi the history books show he did Not like Black people

::I live in Montana, but go to Aurora va for some of my care. It cost me a lot of money out of pocket to make these appointments. I am a 100% service connected disabled vet on a fixed income and they think it is okay to take 6 months or more to pay me travel pay. It's not unusual for me to be waiting on payments for 6 trips hit and amount close to $4,000.00 that I already paid out of pocket. Don't waste your time calling patient advocate they never answer the phone and after you leave a message they don't call you back.

::Worst doctor experience in my life, Dr Bou is absolutely unprofessional, condescending & completely rude. She has no place working for the VA or treating Veterans. She downplays or outright dismisses any medical concerns, cuts you off as you're trying to explain the pain you're going through, rushes you and tries everything to convince you that you're fine/nothing is wrong with you. Even after bringing in proof from a private specialist that there is absolutely something wrong that needs to be treated asap. She literally told me that I'm a hypochondriac and that "no one will treat me" because my herniated/bulged discs are "something everyone has" and that I'm just lying. I hate going to the doctor in the first place, I've pushed through my pain until I just can't anymore. I have a full sleeve of tattoos also, so it's not like I don't have any pain tolerance. I've had to go to contact patient advocates because of the horrible experiences I've had and her alone has made me not want to come back to the VA for care. If you get her as a doctor, please request someone else. You won't get anything treated through her. Or do yourself a favor and get treated at a private practice.
