::Called for a mammogram and was given an appointment for the following day! No waiting to check in and no more than 5 minutes for the tech's assistance. Very professional and caring individual!

::The two stars are for Jerry Huang, the surgeon and the UW facility on Roosevelt Way in Seattle. The process to use this doctor, however, requires jumping through endless hoops. A total lack of customer service and non-communication. It is clear from the beginning you are nothing more than a number. There is nobody there to take your call. Just a central switchboard. Pre-op appointment - doctor never even showed. 2 of the 3 nurses were there. Had to phone back later to get info I needed. The surgery "scheduler" (good luck here) offers 2 places only where you can go for your pre-surgery COVID test. In my case, an exorbitant amount of miles for a 5-minute test. I had to involve King County Health Authority and my primary care doctor to find a place convenient for me. Will THEY help you? NO. They require the test be 2 days before the surgery in the early AM hours. Small window. Then they are phoning back the day before surgery saying they have not received the test results. For post-op appointment you receive an email that reads "thank you for scheduling your appointment". NO, they have scheduled it for you and if it's not at all possible or convenient - OH WELL!! Remember, it's all about them, not you. When you phone the scheduler to change it "Oh, too bad, everything is booked up for that day. The dr. only does certain things on certain days". So do WE! Like WORK! There are other qualified surgeons out there. I find it hard to believe that this doctor is okay with this circus his patients endure. I would never consider using him again for all of these reasons.

::Came a few times over the course of a year for different departments. The specialists and their respective teams were all very nice and awesome people to talk to. They really showed how much they care through their work. Never ran into any problems during any lab work or procedure and test results came in faster than I had anticipated. Overall really good!

::Once you get in, they are great. However, I have a HUGE issue with their referral system. They robo-call you with a message to call them ...then you only get the general call center phone number. NOPE! If you want my business you have to do better than that (I already explained this to my doctor). I expect a person from the department I am being referred to call me. I also will not do a sleep study with them because they will not do the in-home sleep study. They want me to come in for an evaluation. 1) This step is not needed because the in-home sleep study can provide them all the data they need. 2) They probably just want to pad the bill with a consult. Again, not necessary because they could provide a questionnaire or do the consult through telemedicine. I am evaluating if I want to continue my relationship with UW Medicine in general because of this. They use technology where a person is better suited and take an old school approach when technology is a more efficient solution. 8/26/22:. The response from UW Medicine demonstrates their insincere approach towards what is important to patients. I would not be surprised if the reply is from a bot and not a real human.

::Has nice parking space. Clean and responsive. Larger waiting area. Have more availability of appointments every time. Covid screening questions upon arrival.
