I've never received opened mail before in my three years of living in this post office's jurisdiction however this past birthday proved to be a different story. I received a few birthday cards from family members and guess what? All of them were opened in some way. Much to my surprise the contents within were still present but that could be because my family deigns to send cash in the mail and instead uses personal checks. Who knows. Either way, for that to happen to me on that singular occasion is preposterous at worst or a terrible coincidence at best. You be the judge.

Beat post office experience I've had. Was in and out in 5 minutes. Curtis helped me and he was very professional and efficient. The interior space was clean and well-maintained.

I'm currently on hold, eating up my minutes, in an attempt to speak to an administrator to have him or her COME INTO THE FIELD to see how the mail was just delivered by a carrier ("Ashlynn") who smile sheepishly and said "sorry it's my first day" when confronted that she stuffed my mail in my screen door and left an Ebay package on the porch. MY SCREEN DOOR IS UNLOCKED WITH A MAIL SLOT IN MY DOOR, AS IS THE OTHER 3 APARTMENTS THAT ALSO HAD MAIL STUFFED IN THE SCREENS. When I told asked her why she didn't open the screen to deliver in the door slot, she said "I didn't know it was there". When I explained to her I've had packages stolen from my doorstep by other carriers who callously drop mail insecurely, she said "it wasn't me". Plain and simple, it doesn't take a rocket scientist, if mail can't be placed in a mail box or mail slot, SECURELY, a tag should be left notifying the resident that the mail was returned to the post office and needs to be picked up. ISN'T IT THE PRIMARY JOB OF THE CARRIER TO MAKE SURE THE MAIL IS DELIVERED ??? I had a Ebay packaged that was tracked all the way from Woodstock, Georgia.... made every stop to every post center successfully... all the way to my doorstop... tracked "delivered".... I didn't receive it. The Ebay seller was extremely generous in refunding my money, but that wasn't the point... I WANTED THE ITEM!! Another item, small enough to place in the slot, tracked as "delivered"... I never saw it. And I'm still on hold. My neighbor just arrived home, we had a discussion, and it turns out "Ashlynn" IS NOT NEW, SHE DELIVERS FREQUENTLY, AND APPARENTLY DOESN'T CARE. Photos have been taken, they will be printed and taken to the post office, and if not dealt with to my satisfaction, I'll go up the chain. None of us deserve such nonchalant disregard with our mail.

The PO Boxes are cheap, the staff is mainly competent (except the ones that staff the window for picking up packages), and the lines are ok most of the day except on Saturdays when it's pretty bad. Has a vibe of being past the glory days-- which I suppose you'd expect. Nice interior space, but feels empty with a few crazy people mulling about. Only post office I've ever been to where the staff is protected by bulletproof glass. It is stupid that they have no recycling bins, given that they have hundreds of PO boxes and all sorts of junk mail people are going to want to toss out.

What is the current phone number for the post office? The number on the letter I was sent from the post office is the same on the website, and all I get is a recording that says the Verizon wireless number may have changed or is no longer in service. For ten years I've had mail delivered no problem. We had work being done in the backyard so our dog had to be leashed on the porch for two days during daytime hours. My husband made him a little shady spot and put a barricade between the dog and the mailbox, even though the dog couldn't reach the mailbox. Four days in a row, the post carrier has delivered notices and picked up mail from my house despite the fact that they are now holding my mail. I spoke with the carrier today who rang my doorbell to tell me that I need to go to the post office to sign a paper about restraining my dog. I told her clearly my dog does not live on my porch, and explained that the two days she saw him, he was restrained, not loose. She said she reported us to be safe, not realizing the dog wasn't going to be there anymore. So for four days in a row she's delivering these notices and picking up my responses, ringing my doorbell to talk to me, but each time, not delivering my own mail. It's crazy how they won't deliver my mail, but every day now they're able to deliver their own mail to me. And then of course, she tells me I can drive to the post office, so I throw on some clothes, and it closes in 3 minutes. And again, I would call, but their phones are disconnected, or they've failed to post new numbers. I'm perturbed beyond belief!
