::I recommend visit of this monument, it is in a walking distance from Arlington cemetery. The monument shows the very well known scenery of soldiers rising the flag. The monument definitely helps to see in how many defining events of the last century(ies) was the American Navy involved.

::Be careful about the exit on Jefferson Davis Hwy, the speed limit is 45, and local Police keep on giving speeding ticket to USMC fan which drives over 45.
those creepy glowing eyes in the forest
::It’s a beautiful memorial. And it’s great just to walk around. If you ever go to Washington I highly recommend you check this out.

::Amazing, historic and breathtaking. The sculptor really captured the desperate triumph that these Marines must have demonstrated during this difficult campaign. This is another emotion inducing memorial, along with World War II, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials. Must see!

::One of my favorite memorials in Washington D.C. area. It’s actually in Northern Virginia close to the Pentagon. Parking is abundant and you can see the beautiful DC skyline from here. The monument itself is amazing with plenty of detail. Bring your camera.
