  Great community atmosphere. Staff was helpful and I really enjoyed the common room. One of the best state side hostels I've visited. Well done.

  A friend and I booked a room my friend had to back out So i booked a second room, He didn't cancel the reservation, I had no idea that he had forgot to do so, He was going through a family tragedy and simply forgot. I payed for my room and shortly after the receptionist knocked on my door and said the other reservation was not cancelled and that I had to pay for it. I explained to her what had taken place with the room and asked her to wait until I could sort it out with my friend before she charged me she looked me right in the eyes and lied to me and said she would wait, she charged me anyway. My friend was working and had to wait to fix the issue in witch he did. Later that evening there was a pounding on my door, the evening receptionist woke me and said I was snoring too loud... I have a snoring problem yes and it was rude for them to wake me when there is obviously nothing one can do other than not sleep. I looked over the rules and found nothing about snoring "lol". So beware my fellow snoring sufferers, if you stay here you will be rudely awakened and basically told to stop. the photo is what you are going to be paying for.

  I have stayed here twice with a friend. Excellent atmosphere and in such an awesome location. Games available in the common area, including a pool table. Staff is always friendly and willing to answer questions. Grocery shop below is convenient.

  Super cool place. My first experience in a hostel was here and it was solid. It's a noisier part of town. Our room was very small but it was all we needed. Kind staff. Free breakfast in the cool upstairs common room was nice. I really liked the blankets, even if they're a bit small. The aesthetic is fun and it's pretty homey.

  Fantastic experience coming here for the weekend for a concert. Check in was super easy, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were amazing for a hostel and newly renovated, and the lounge on the 4th floor was awesome for hanging out in when we were back at the hostel. Location was a major plus for our concert since it was at the Subterranean, only a block away. It is also very close to the blue line for the L to get into Chicago, another major plus. I can't recommend this place enough and I highly suggest you consider this if you are travelling as a group to Chicago.
