::Great for a hiking adventure park right on 9w, and walk across the bridge above the P.I.P. . Then follow the multiple trails you can take. I prefer the giant steps its hard but you walk all the way down to the basin of the cliffs.

::A nice monument with a plaque containing historical information. You can walk up to the first story but the gate to the tower was locked. Fun little feature on a nice hike.

::Ever since I was a kid my dad has been coming to the Palisade Cliffs overlooking the Hudson River. Its a stunning hike along the edge of New Jersey with great views across the river into NY. To me, I find the path extremely casual. There are hardly any places along the trail which would require more effort than walking. The Women's Federation Monument is a great place to start your hike, and wait for others in your group to arrive (if traveling in separate cars). There is a small staircase leading up to a second floor.
