  I wouldn't recommend this school period . Kids smoking in there, kids getting jump . I don't see how the administration doesn't see they need improvements and I don't see how don't see the steps they need to take to improve. If they fights keep happening in the field by the school why wouldn't y'all have adults out there till ever student is gone ???? Or have them to come back inside where adult supervision is there .

  I love this school.. great education curriculum. allows you to challenge yourself mentally to further your education. but the children are out of control sometimes, and some teachers form a biased opinions because of past behavior. there is some favoritism showed... but if you want a great education this is the right school, opened many doors for me (renaissance, mosaic, and Dearborn youth symphony) I definitely recommend.. and I wasn't the poster student either

  My experience at University Prep was okay. First I wanna say how most of the administrators show favoritism towards different students. Second the teachers are somewhat nice but cursing always seems to come out the mouth of some teachers. The principal always makes smart remarks and always touches people (pulls hair,taps people) my favorite teachers which I will name always helped to make education easier (Mrs.Johal and Mrs.Jones) most of the 8th grade activities got took or never happened over petty things. I was told by most of the students that the previous years with a different principal and a different dean was better.

  I wouldn't recommend you to go here unless it's your absolute last choice. The teachers are okay. One out of 10, they're a six. Most teachers are cool, but you got those few teachers that are just extra. You don't get much freedom at this school, and the students are reckless. Children are always fighting, kids are always stealing, and everyone always talks about each other. Bed bugs have been found in the school more than twice, (they do clean the building tho). Anyone could be accepted into this school, it's really not hard. We eat in a basement, that usually smells of urine, or mildew. The gym is a nice size, and is very nice. The office members are also very nice (shout out to ms. Adams and ms. King!). But the school was much better in the years before of 2014. Overall the school itself is okay, but the students need a change, and some teachers need a change. (The old teachers we had before all the new ones shouldn't have left)
