::Having a baby at UW medical center was a horrific traumatic experience. Everything they promise in the labor and delivery tour is a lie. First they insist on giving you tons of medication and neglect to mention the side effects. When you ask if the meds will affect the baby they lie to you and say no. Once your little one is born they will tear him out of your arms and stick him in the NICU saying that he is having labored breathing while you can see he's breathing fine. All their medical equipment constantly fails and they don't even keep track of the meds they give you. The NICU nurses treat parents like they are in the way and refuse to explain anything. The NICU at this hospital is a chamber of horrors full of crying neglected babies and nurses making up lies to steal healthy babies from their parents. Post partum neglects you while you are there and then if you go down to the NICU to visit your newborn they will constantly tell you to go back upstairs and sleep. In the NICU they won't feed your baby anything but you can count on them to stick him with needles constantly even though they can't get an IV to work. Thank god there are social workers that make these malicious baby thieves release you and your baby after they can't prove there is anything wrong with him. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these so-called doctors. I still have nightmares about this place.
