::My sister was brought here by ambulance in severe pain. They sat her In the waiting area, (to lay on the waiting room floor)where she waited for an hour to be triage by a telehealth doctor who couldn’t examine her from a tv screen. The amount of care people receive at the hospital is sad and unfortunate. The compassion the employees have for people requiring care is 0%. They act if they hate working with sick people. If she wasn’t brought here by ambulance I would’ve risk her life to take her to another hospital. Sad to say the only people who receive adequate care her is police officers brought in due to injury they receive on duties. UPDATE: After waiting 4 hours I decided to take her to different hospital. Once I arrived she was triaged and because of her symptoms she was put in a room and hooked to a heart monitor where they noticed she had a abnormal EKG. She was having a heart attack! If we would’ve stay at UMMC my sister may have died on that waiting room floor! DO NOT EXCEPT INADEQUATE CARE FOR YOUR LOVE ONES!

::So the National Cancer Institute center main floor past the welcome desk should open at 7:30 but instead opened at 8am and the person at the desk was so rude today. Immediately as soon as she opened the door her response was I’m not ready yet with an aggressive and angry tone. She had more than 30 mins to get ready, as a matter of fact she had more than an hour. How much more time did she need to get ready? She is not the one treating the patients so what was her issue. If she doesn’t like her job or want to work on a Saturday then choose a different job. The patients are already here because they are not feeling well but to treat them as if they are a burden is inhumane. Gone are the days of respect and good customer service. The people that work in this hospital need to remember that if the patients don’t show up they don’t get a paycheck and eventually after a while when patients are tired of the horrible customer service they will begin to go else where. And if they think leaving the job and going elsewhere will save them it won’t. Their bad attitude will follow them. Patients have a choice of where they go to get treatment. The hospital itself may not close but specific units that are not being utilized will close. Also this is not the first time the clinic is not being opened on time and there is always an excuse. Also don’t get me started on the lack of knowledge or experience the staff have. Some are so overly confident that they don’t want to listen to anyone correcting them or they don’t know enough and are afraid to ask for help. It’s better to ask for help than to have a dead patient (a little dramatic but it’s reality). Some of the staff here spend too much time on their phone talking or on social media that they don’t have time to focus on their job. You can’t take short cuts in the job because eventually it will catch up with you. Anyhoooo I think I have said enough l.

::Shock trauma saved my daughters life. Nurses and doctors are on the cutting edge. Security was excellent. Being from a small town was nerve-wracking but I ALWAYS had the help of the security staff. The trauma chaplain is kind and so compassionate. She prayed with us during some very difficult times. I must mention the unbelievable plastic surgery team !! My daughter shot herself in the head in a suicide attempt. Recovering well and we will continue to benefit from the plastics team as reconstruction is a long process.

::By far the worst hospital I think I've ever had to endure. I have never met a single staff member that truly cared for their patients. Not to mention the way they treated me. As if I was a third class citizen. On one particular visit, I had waited in the emergency room for 13 hours due to chest pains and wasn't even given an EKG, and my blood pressure had only been checked once. I would never recommend this hospital, especially not if your experiencinh life threatening compilation. I would rate this hospital no stars if it was an option

::I arrived before 1:00 pm It is 4:15 pm I am still waiting because the lack of beds.I probably will get a response from management and still be in the waiting room DEAD. I’m in this area of waiting that looks like a concentration camp. There is no ringer for help no nurses or doctors not even the reception near by.. No call bells or call lights, Nobody around..if something happened to me or one of the patients. How would you guys know. I understand things happen, but you cannot transport you’re patient? Cannot check on the patient it’s terrible .
