  If there were 0 stars USPS as a whole would get this from me. I would like to acknowledge that the on-site staff have in most cases been helpful and overworked. So this review is NOT on them. However, do not try to resolve an issue with USPS delivery service by phone or online. Don't waste your precious time because 100% of the time the issues are NOT resolved unless you take your precious time and gas to drive to a USPS location, at which time you are REALLY angry and have to be careful to not let that anger spill onto the poor overworked employees.

  I think a little grace and class might be helpful here. We've lived in Carmel for many years. Some of the best people I've ever known live here. Too, some of the nastiest and most demanding entitled people I encounter anywhere also live right here. The Post Office is staffed with public service hourly wage earners. I'll bet that many couldn't even afford to live in the same neighborhoods as the one star reviewers on here. The Carmel Post Office is too small, even after the remodel. It's not their fault. When it gets busy and the line gets long, the snarky customers get started. I have never, ever been treated poorly there. They're clearly overworked employees, doing a very thankless job. We've gotten passports there, and everything was always professionally handled. I think a better approach on here is to show some gratitude and thank the Carmel Postal workers for doing a fine job handling the mountain of mail that they see every day. If you want to go to the happiest place on Earth, go to Disneyworld. Meanwhile, smile and say a few kind words to our Post Office workers when you see them.

  We've made multiple complaints 2 the Nora & Carmel PO STUPORVISERS, 4 the last 8 or so weeks, That we've been receiving other folks mail usually on Tues or Weds? So I got the free scanner thing from the PO that takes a pix of each piece of mail that U should b receiving that day or the next 1, I had 2 ask my fam 4 some emergency funding that by the scanner arrived on Dec the 24th granted we had a Purdy bad blizzard + Xmoose but 1 would think that the mail from the 24th would b delivered on or B4 the 27th? Welp 2day is the 31st still nothing? So I called the postal inspector who I could barely understand as they were from Egypt (nice young lady, once I could fingerout her cadence of her voice patterns & gleen the info that I was seeking) and it sounded like somebody in the background was playing spin da bottle? The young lady said that she was at the orifice and there was a New Years party going on? No wonder the call back mode took 42 min plus another 10 min 2 get through 2 her? She said at the earliest, my mail from the 24th should b here 2day and due 2 it being a Holiday New Years Eve, there4 as I note, "1 day closer 2 our demise" it could b here on or b4 next Saturday the 7th of Jan? So my deduction from this mess is 1. my mail from the Dec 24th 2022 (6 pcs total) was misplaced or lost within the confines of the post office? 2. My mail was delivered 2 somebody else since the delivery carriers donot care where they put anybody's mail these days or 3. somebody stole the mail out of our box! I guess 4 the moment I'm going with option 2? That the carrier delivered my mail 2 somebody else who went on a Vacation just B4 Xmoose and will not b back until this Tuesday, (as long as their flight isn't canceled!) and they hopefully will have the sense 2 4ward it 2 me? So then I would b lucky 2 receive it by NEXT SAT THE 7th of January 2023!

  Stood in line for a very long time just to be told they cannot cash my USPS money order. Said they don't have the $300 and I would have to come back when they do. What a joke!

  This post office can be busy and as a result I think that's why some of the reviews aren't great. But today, I want to give a shout out to Troy. I had a package coming in from out of country, there was conflicting information from point of origin and the US, but Troy took the time to get all my info and rummage around the back to see if the package was in and it was! Thanks Troy!
