  Stop in one night to buy something and the guy behind the counter was on the phone as he usually is. My items cost $3 I gave him $5 he gave me back $1.50. When asked how much tax he told me that each of my $1.50 items with tax was $1.75. When I questioned further, he then stopped his phone conversation (Yes he was on the phone the whole time) and asked me how much should it be and charged me that amount. So I've come to conclusion that he is charging whatever he wants for items.
