::Neat, clean waiting area that is not crowded due to adequate space and seating. Lounge for sleeping car passengers did not have refreshments as would be available in stations in other cities. Of course there are only two trains a day here.
Samuel Chambers
::Great railway station that combines access to national and regional bus transportation systems. Amtrak staff were very helpful. The Magnolia Room for sleeping car passengers was a plus, along with the free water and snacks. Conveniently located and accessible. Bright and cheerful, with clean rest rooms.

::This is a serviceable Amtrak station. It has seating, it's spacious, it has a little shop, etc. That said, one would think that New Orleans would have a better train station, generally -- this one is kind of unremarkable, a little dirty, staff are a little indifferent.
Desmond Stanford
::I love Amtrak, I wish we could ride more often. We always get a bedroom and all the meals are free while in 1st class and you can even get it delivered to your room, never had a problem. The porter comes and turns down our beds. Private bathroom, always clean and always fresh and always FUN!

::Safe, interesting and fun. Great gift shop, game room, good food and historic murals on the wall. The Amtrak train ride from New Orleans to Dallas was one of the most exciting and interesting in my life. I would love to travel from here or to here again.
