  This is a great neighborhood restaurant, friendly service and delicious food. We were often pretty wary of Portuguese cuisine but this place really changed that. We have been back there times since our last visit so that should say a lot! Worth a visit most definitely!

  Came to this place on a Sunday evening for a special dinner with my family. Four of us, 2 adults and two kids, 7 and 10 yrs old. My kids were dubious since they had never had Portuguese food, but I was interested in seeing what this place had to offer. I was greatly impressed by the decor of the restaurant, and how relaxing and homey it feels. We came around 6:30 pm and were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. We loved our dishes that had just the right level of the sea flavor. My kids loved the salt cod fritters. We also ordered the Piri Piri chicken, and the seafood risotto. My youngest appreciated the kids menu grilled cheese. I loved the salty goodness of the risotto and all it's underwater creatures that were part of a great dish. My compliments to the chef, the staff and the only Portuguese restaurant in the city.

  I really wanted to like this place. Earlier this year, friends and I made our way to Lisbon where we had some amazing seafood. This was not it. This was more like Spanish tapas than Portuguese food. With a party of 6 and reservations they sat us in the backroom which was kind cool but no natural light. :-/ The food was good but nothing amazing and the prices were a little too high for me. No dishes wow-ed us. The Portuguese egg tarts were okay - not terrible but nothing like they were in Lisboa. By all means, this place isn't bad - I just don't need to go back.

  Great Portuguese restaurant... Warm and cozy place, food is authentic and reasonably priced. Selection of seafood, meat and vegetable dishes. The octopus is really well done. (Only downside I would caution is that acoustics are challenging and it gets really noisy. Your ears will need a break. Restaurant should consider some soft fabrics to break the resonance.)

  The food and service was excellent! The wine selection was great. Another plus; it was not too loud as other SF restaurants have become. We had a great dinner and we enjoyed our conversations. We will be back to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. Glad you are in our neighborhood.
