Happy hour! Yes, if you are able to make it anytime from 4:30 to 6:30, I highly recommend. Portions are a bit smaller, still super delicious, fresh, carefully put together. The fish here is always super fresh, dishes are very playful and the service is truly fine dinning. Be ready to valet since there is no parking and as always in Austin, reservations are needed most of the time.

My friend is a top-notch food critic, and I asked her to recommend the best Austin restaurant for my trip there. She recommended Uchi, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We spent hours at Uchi tasting various dishes recommended by our waiter based on our preferences that we shared with her prior to dinner. This is called omakase, which I highly recommend. I couldn’t even tell you everything we ate, but I can tell you that the crab and oysters were some of the best ever, and that the grand finale was some steak sushi with a bit of wasabi on the top. Delicious. Incredible. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Incredible! We are vegan and they were not only accommodating, but every dish was amazing and served to perfection! Beautiful, flavorful, and complex in every bite. We celebrated our 9 year anniversary tonight and they surprised us with multiple items based on what we liked. Our waitress Kat was lovely and the bartender (I didn’t get their name 😩) was wonderful too. They both recommended sakes that we thoroughly enjoyed. Can’t wait to come back for the next occasion or just because 😏😉

Very impressed with this outstanding sushi stop. Cool and small outdoor scene - weirdly basic table seating indoors but amazing sushi bar setup. And then there is the food!! As good as I’ve tasted in London, Tokyo or NYC. Creative, fresh and flawless. Well trained team make suggestions or allow you to make all the choices. Will return. PS. Thanks, Zak, for choosing - and creating - my selection

I've yet to have a bad meal/experience at any of the Uchi locations. Service was great. Food is always fantastic. We came during happy hour so we expected it to be busy. Food still came out at a steady pace. Desserts were phenomenal per usual. I always try to dine at Uchi whenever I'm visiting Texas.
