They fixed this place up good. There is also a police presence to keep you safe. Not as many bums as it used to. Nice place to visit as long as you be aware of your surroundings.

I have always enjoyed my visits to Travis Park. They give me a sense of quiet and peaceful moments. The park has worked hard the last 9 years to become a wonderful center of activities. I don't agree with them pulling down the statue that was in the center of the park. The statue represents a period in history that needs to not be hidden and forgotten so we aren't doomed to make the same mistakes.

It's a pretty good beautiful place despite the homeless who are around them but who can blame them. The park is nice and you can found food trucks in the area and maybe you might find one of these days an event or exhibit occuring at the park. It's pretty good. The flowers look beautiful. The statue is gone which is kind of sad since the statue was mainly a decoration of the park. Come visit it. Have a good time.

Quiet small park, smack dab in the middle of downtown. Plenty of shade and when the flowers are in full bloom, so gorgeous. Perfect for a place to sit and people watch or enjoy a quiet lunch. I've gone here a couple of times during my lunch break and it's just so calm and pretty.

The park has been totally redone. Lots of benches to sit. Plenty of parking. Right across the street to our beautiful St. Anthony hotel. Just 2 blocks from river walk. Very nice upscale restaurants on Houston st. Good walking area with different stores going up to the Alamo and Rivercity mall. Best thing I like at Travis park is Christmas. It's lit up with thousands of lights. Our huge tree display has been moved from the Alamo to the park. You can just sit take pictures. Before you know it you've been there 2 hours enjoying the displays and lights.
