::Absolutely unacceptable behavior from hotel employees. The staff was beyond anything I have had to deal with before and since. I hope by now this employee has had some training or found a new job. About the hotel itself, it had just undergone a remodel and although small, the room was quite nice.

::A decent place to stay at a reasonable price at a walking distance from the Phoenix Downtown. The guy on the counter was friendly and flexible to schedule early check in and check outs. Would visit again.

::Built in 1958 this newest "Travelodge" has maintained a lot of it's original charm. The rooms are small but tastefully decorated. It's close to all the popular venues in downtown Phoenix. They have an excellent breakfast with extended hours. Upon checkout, guests receive a "Grab & Go" snack bag filled with delectable foods. I recommend this motel to all types of travelers.

::The hotel itself is pretty basic a little dated, but in-line with what you would expect with a hotel at this price point. It was clean no bed bugs, and walking distance from the fun downtown bar area. I will say the Social Security office is nearby and sometimes the crowd in the area was questionable so I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night. THAT being said, the staff was so incredibly nice and courteous, and helpful with answering question. Someone in our group forgot their jacket and a pair of shoes, and they held it for us! Can't say enough about how everyone working there was so kind! Especially Mike at the front desk.

::If you are just looking for a cheap comfortable bed to sleep in, this is the place you're looking for. It's not the cleanest or most-updated place, but it's only a 5-6 block walk to the heart of downtown Phoenix. The registration clerks were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is minimal with small pre-packaged pastries, apples, and a variety of drinks, including hot coffee. It's about a 2-3 block walk to a great little 2-story restaurant with outdoor seating that has live music at night.
