  First experience at this TJ's was great. Went at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't too packed. Some of that may be from just opening. Significantly easier to navigate than the one at 72nd st. Cashiers have "staging area" to pack bags so it doesn't get as crowded when you are checking out. Generally a pretty spacious store and no split-level nonsense. Produce is right there when you walk in and then prepackaged / prepared foods are farther into the store. Generally hopeful that this store will do well and alleviate some of the traffic through 72nd st

  Trader Joe's Grand Opening was so much fun! We arrived at the "VIP Entrance" on the red carpet about 20 minutes before the exciting ribbon-cutting. There was a crowd already eagerly waiting for the doors to open. We were greeted with a lively Mariachi band and the staff were handing out novelty leis and plenty of tasty samples! I only bought a few needed pantry staples, as the store was expectedly busy. I will post about a regular visit upon a "normal" shopping expedition soon. 😀 Best wishes to Trader Joe's!

  So excited to have a Trader Joe's closer to uptown! And it is also convenient because it is all on one level and basically spans the length of the block.

  Great neighborhood location for the new trader Joe's. All on one level with fresh produce and large selection of frozen foods..they have around 20 checkout registers but lines on opening day have looked around 3 times the store. I would wait till the hype dies down or you will be waiting in line a good 30 to 40 minites.

  Opened on May 4, 2018 (Hours are 8am-10pm, 7 days a week). Your neighborhood grocery store, they are based out of California. They are a discount/upscale supermarket that provides normal groceries, with 80% of items bearing it's own brand name. The stores are smaller since there's not a lot of competing products. Despite the lack of competition on the shelves, the prices are very reasonable and sometimes unbeaten. There is a cult following especially in NYC, so you can expect long lines during peak hours.
