  Very bad experience with a cashier called Michael who try to rob my friend of $3. He heard us speaking in French together and probably thought he could take advantage of that. My friend put $23 in bills, and $1 coin to pay a total of $23.99. He faked a confusion between $1 coins and quarters and asked repeatedly to my friend to put 3 more $1 coins (she had them in hand). Of course he was holding all the bills, so we couldn't re-count them. When we were finally able to count the bills and coins and show she put enough, making very clear that he tried to rob us, he suddenly starts to chat about the weather, soccer games, etc, likely to make us forget he is unreliable. Will never go to that TJ MAxx again.

  Terribly disappointed in the customer service at this store. I found a pair of gloves in the store that were $9.99. This particular TjMaxx had about 8 different pairs of these exact gloves ranging in sizes S, M, L, XL. Out of all of the pairs, only 1 of them was priced at $14.99. The $14.99 pair were a size L, which was the size that fit my hand the best. The S, M, and XL gloves were all $9.99. The exact same pair of gloves was $5.00 more than all the rest. When i went to purchase the gloves, I took 2 other pairs priced at $9.99 to the register, so that they could honor the correct pricing. The cashier told me there was nothing she could do to lower the price and that the $14.99 pair of gloves came on a different truckload, so it was $5 more. A lady came over and proceeded to introduce herself as the "Price Reduction Manager" to tell me that the $14.99 price was correct, despite the fact that every other pair of the gloves were priced at $9.99. I asked them if they could honor the price of the other gloves, since it seemed that this one was incorrectly priced. In a very impolite way, they explained that there was nothing they can do and the price was final. I proceeded to explain that if they could not honor the lower price, I wouldn't be purchasing the gloves. They both explained that that was fine, and sent me on my way. As soon as I turned to walk away, both women began speaking in Spanish (after our whole interaction was in English) -- clearly talking about the interaction that had just happened. I generally always try to respect people in retail and customer service, since I've worked in myself, but this experience was terrible.
