  Hearing aids are expensive. So, when you need them you want a straightforward, personal care person to meet your needs. I have found this to be the case at TKT Hearing. John had the skill to ramp up my hearing over the first year of my hearing-aid use by encouraging me to schedule an appointment (at no charge) every couple of months to discuss my progress. At each visit he adjusted the sound explaining that your ears have to adapt to the increased sensitivity to various sound wavelengths; you just can't turn the volume up full blast the first time you use the aids. Within the year he had my hearing ability up to as close to normal as I could expect. It's still not perfect, but I never anticipated it to be that way, and I can enjoy conversation, TV, and music again.
