  I personally feel that Tigin is an underrated pub - great selection of beer and big portions of food. They have remodeled this place so it has lost a bit of its quirk, but I still enjoy coming here for the live music, a Guinness/ pickle back shot, and some fish tacos.

  The layout is like a maze with little nooks and cozy seating areas. The bar is woven through this and, though it sounds cool, this setup doesn't give you that "hanging out with a bunch of people" feeling. You won't be arguing about the game with anyone at the other end of the bar. Though the menu reads well, the food is nothing special. You don't expect fish and chips to be any different from any other Irish pub but a chicken quesadilla made on their homemade potato pancake should be somewhat more interesting. The real downer was the bartender. First of all, why would you put a ton of lime juice in a kamikaze unless either you don't know how to make it or you're trying to cover up the limited amount of alcohol? Secondly, someone really needs to tell this guy that he's not working a manhattan night club: be attentive and engaging with the customers so you can sell them drinks and get a good tip. It's not that hard. For the over 2 hours we were there we only had one drink and it wasn't because we weren't thirsty.
