  I'm a beginner at Jiu Jitsu, tried out a few gyms and chose this one. I now attend weekly. Trenton is an amazing, technical, patient, and fun teacher. The facility is second to none in terms of cleanliness and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

  The black belt at this Academy is a very professional guy. He takes the time to show you different techniques and will turn around and sit down and talk to you in a very personable matter. If I lived closer I would definitely make this my Academy. But I will definitely enjoy visiting this gym. You won't regret being a member here till then enjoy the training.

  Trenton Cooke is an excellent Jiu Jitsu instructor. Having taught students all over the world he has developed a teaching style that is effective for all people regardless of skill level or experience. A first day white belt, a black belt prepping for a competition, a child or young adult learning to defend themselves​, or a family man or woman training to have fun or get in shape would all benefit from training with Trenton. Training with Trenton has been one of the highlights of my Jiu Jitsu journey and I look forward to visiting Thornwood BJJ to continue learning from him in the future.

  Trenton Cooke is a phenomenal instructor. I have taken many of his classes and hosted him for numerous seminars. He offers a very friendly, welcoming and fun environment. His style really offers something for every skill level. He breaks moves down in a way that you could understand on your first day with no problem while also giving such specific details that will sharpen any experienced practitioner's game. Perfect balance of teaching the sport as well as making sure you know how to defend yourself in life threatening situations. I cannot speak highly enough about how great I know this place is going to be.
