::Terrible customer service at the Rockville location. Ordered a desk over 6 weeks ago and was just calling to get an update on status as it was expected to have already arrived in store. Person answering phone was really rude. Said "has it been 6-8 weeks? no" then hung up phone before I even could get a word out or give him my order number. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I had a great experience ordering furniture from the Alexandria location that was to be delivered to the Rockville location. As a new home owner in the area, I will continue using Bassett as their level of customer service and furniture buying experience was a million times better.

::Really expensive and overpriced for what you get, and this location really doesn't have a ton of options to look at. Sales people didn't seem to listen to budget or style when told - effectively making them a nuisance as you browse the store. There's lots of better options on Rockville Pike to try.

::I am sorry to say that I recommended Thomasville to a friend, based on my own experience buying this brand through a retailer over 20 years ago. My friend and I went to the Thomasville store in Rockville, MD, and her order for high-end server with a matching glass-topped table and four upholstered chairs became an ORDEAL. The order was problematic from the start, as the wood and fabric samples matched, but in real life they clash. I'm not sure if the wood sample was off, or the fabric, or both. In any case, it's not good. Still worse, THOMASVILLE DID NOT FILL THE ORDER WITH THE CUSTOM SIZED GLASS TABLE TOP THAT WAS ORDERED. THEY FILLED IT WITH THE STANDARD SIZE, WHICH IS TOO LARGE FOR THE ROOM. AS SOON AS THE ORDER WAS PLACED, THE SALESPERSON STOPPED RETURNING PHONE CALLS. In the end, my friend kept the wrong sized table top, even though it makes the room too crowded, because she was unable to get Thomasville to correct the mistake that Thomasville made in filling the order. We don't really know for sure that they ever had the capability to full the order with the custom sized glass top. All we know is that they took the order and never filled it correctly. It seems as if Thomasville in Rockville will promise you anything to get you to place an order for their relatively expensive furniture. Then, after they mess it up, it's a nightmare trying to get them to fix their mistake(s), and you may end up stuck with furniture that you would never had ordered if you had known how badly it would turn out. If I had to order from this store, I would only do so if I could pay with Amex, so that I would have Amex to protect me if Thomasville failed, again. But really, nobody wants to buy a hassle. At their prices, one can certainly find a better option.
