  The church is a joke and I don't mean everyone that attends some I'm sure has a sincere heart But I'v attended the church many times and Mrs Anderson along with religious folks are not only full of themselves but I don't trust them any longer After Pastor Shelley passed on the son want to be all religious and cocky I wouldn't share my most intimate secrets with some of those religious wannabes several people from women to men are not worth it and I'm not trying to be judgmental I'm just being careful if you should attend the church watch out for the gossipers religious actors and actresses To me experiencing fellowship with some those folk was a bad time in my life as a believer I know there's no perfect church but my gosh stop judging whispering in the ears of the so called righteous people as I literally caught Mrs Anderson do Not to mention one particular woman I went greet her after services shaking her hand and she just jerk my hand a way from her hand talking about she remembered me I don't ever recall seeing that trick a day in my life and beside side it's dangerous over there on that street trying to cross it it you can easily get hit by a fool coming from the other side of the road You would think the church on that block would report or comment on how dangerous that street is Because the way the street in reconstructed is not safe to cross for the pedestrian every time I would cross that street I would literally fear my life Not because I'm afraid of some devil But I know it's not right suppose if an elderly person is crossing or a child The church within the community should have gotten the politicians involved and I know politicians can be greedy liars and most of them don't care as well but we still need to do something Thessalonian Baptist Church is not somewhere I want to develop my spiritual walk in Christ one of the biggest mistakes I regret was reaching out to some of them including Mrs Anderson

  I absolutely love this church. The spirit of God is definitely here. The Pastor is great, his translation of God's word into sermon is always relevant, inspiring and transformative. Upon arrival I felt awkward and insecure, the Youth members were very warm and supportive. We can be found on Google Hangouts daily, supporting one and another through trial and tribulation, persecution and temptations. I love that all the members are down to Earth and non-judgmental. I attend the Monday Night bible study at 6:30 pm and I love being a part of the Tuesday Morning Community Pantry from 8am to 1pm. If you are seeking a church home in NYC this is the church for you. We were awarded the best church in the Bronx for 5 consecutive years. We have every ministry you can think of from old to young. My life has been incredibly blessed since I joined this church. I don't stress about finances anymore. I have so much peace and understanding of God's purpose for my life. I hope to see you at a Sunday service. Peace and blessings to you.

  Best place to worship ! I'm sure there are other great churches, but I've never been to any like this one. This is home!
