::I've been to The Rustic in another city, but 1st time @ the Dallas Uptown location. I have to say, it didn't disappoint. The Rustic really lives up to the name. The food was very fresh and fulling for a Saturday brunch. Saturday Brunch is $17.00 per person and the menu is already set for you. All you have to worry about is what drinks to order. There's a massive outdoor patio seating are with a full sound stage for musicians to perform. You can't go wrong eating here, therefore I suggest you grab the family or some friends and try it.

::Amazing vibe. This place was incredibly lively at 2:00 on a Thursday afternoon. Food was great, drinks were moderately priced, and there was plenty of space for kids to roam around and explore. Highly recommended for lunch. Wish I lived closer to go more often.

::Came on a Saturday evening and wasn't able to eat as planned. If you sit inside, you can't enjoy the live music. If you want to enjoy the music, you can't reserve a table outside. You'd have to hover over people as they eat and grab the table the second they get up. But people have no incentive to leave the picnic tables because there's live music. It's a terrible setup. EDIT: In fairness, we discovered food could be ordered at the bar. When we finally got something to eat, it was excellent! However, after the restaurant was half empty, we asked for a table again and were told the wait was 1:45. We ended up sitting at an empty table with our food from the bar, and a waiter came right over and served us. I guess it's difficult to organize when you're crazy busy, but that needs to be addressed. The food was excellent and the band was amazing.

::The Rustic is a local favorite. The atmosphere and vibe are truly unique, food is surprisingly delicious, and prices (both food and drink) in line with the area. One might wonder why I've only rated 3 out 5 stars....service. Out of the 5 plus times I've visited The Rustic I've yet to have a pleasant service experience. I understand the environment makes it difficult to have sections, patrons move around, it's extremely crowded, etc; however, I believe if Management put their focus on adequate staffing and more of a streamlined approach service would improve. I've watched Managers casually stand around, chatting with servers, etc. instead of truly Managing and ensuring tables were cleaned, food was coming out, drinks being ran, etc. Overall I do recommend The Rustic but if you are one for solid service this might not be your place.

::Despite being in downtown, the location is easy to get to and parking isn't as bad as you'd expect. It gets BUSY esp on weekends so come early if you want enough chairs for all the butts. The food is pricey for what you get but they offer seconds on the family style dining. The outdoor area is family friendly and has a variety of seating areas. There doesn't seem to be enough wait staff to handle the amount of people that pack into this place, but as long as you're willing to grab your own drinks at the bar you'll never miss a beat.
