::Don’t EVER live at the Retreat. Don't be here based on good reviews on the internet, and brochures. It's a waste of money. I lived here for two years, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my life. The Retreat is not an apartment complex. The units are houses, & you pay $680-$820 a month just to rent out a room. Electric/Water not included. Most UA students find better places on Free and For Sale Facebook group. They pressure people just to get leases signed. When they didn’t have enough people they run specials sign you lease and get free month rent, free gift cards, raffle for a big screen TV, etc. Unlike a traditional apartment community, you cannot break your lease. Most properties have in their rental contract where you can break your lease and it will cost you a full month’s rent, or $500 lease termination at The Retreat it is not possible. Also seniors graduating in December sign a full year lease, and the renter is responsible for finding someone to take over their lease. People don't walk their dogs on a leash and do not pick up after them. Whenever I would step out of my unit I would find piles of dog waste scattered. Management needs to fine units who do not pick up after their pets. Roommate matching service they have is completely useless, and I had the same problems reviewer Sarah Randall had. I had informed them I was going to take my pet, and the first roommate they paired me with was allergic to dogs. The second match me up the girls all had cats even though I stated I'm allergic to cats. Third match were freshman, I'm a junior. There is honestly no point in having the roommate service if they don't take it seriously, and put people according to their personalities and their preferences. If you don’t get along with your roommates the only thing they can do is try to put you in another unit. It is very noisy. If you are looking for a quiet place to get your work done this is not the place you want to live in. This place is more like for teenagers who like to party and get drunk. They have parties around the complex every Saturday. The next morning the place is completely filthy with bear cans, broken glass, and party cups everywhere. I hope future residents take the time to do a comprehensive review on places they wish to live in for the fall before signing a lease. I wish I would have read an honest review such as this preventing me from ever living here in the first place.

::Autumn Romero has been tremendous! Customer satisfaction to the fullest. I created a long lasting relationship with her as a person and as a General Manager. Whenever I needed something she made it happen. She was not only invested in me but in my well being. She always made sure I was taken care of.

::Amazing place to live. The experience living here is great, the staff and manager Autumn is amazing. She accommodates all residents and runs an exceptional complex. Id recommend living here because of what you get for the price and the awesome staff!

::My experience at The Retreat is much different from all other complexes or apartments in Tucson. There is a strong sense of community here that is built up by the great staff that works and spends a lot of time helping us residents. If this staff wasn't here then I feel Retreat living would be a different and underappreciated place. I have grown to love my community and have tons of people throughout that will back up the fact that there is no other place like this to live. Not only have I grown connected, but almost inseparable with the friends I have made during this experience. It wouldn't be anything without the Retreat and the memories I have shared with my dearest friends here. Even though I won't be living here forever there will always be a legacy of a community atmosphere. We know the people around us and we have a common respect for everyone. People here share a common goal to advance their education, while also being very social. The Retreat is the perfect grounds for this activity. People have the best of both worlds when its quiet and peaceful compared to when its social as well as eventful. People love a little combination of these experiences, which is why Retreat is so successful. I want to tie up this review by just thanking our manager Autumn! With her leadership the Retreat has blossomed beautifully and has curved my college/living experience in an excellent manner. Thank you Retreat! LOVE where you live!
