  Worse dmv ever !! Don’t ever come here!! I REPEAT DONT EVER COME TO THIS DMV !!! You will waste your entire life here for them just to do something that takes 10 mins.. and the staff is rude and very disrespectful, all they know how to do is look at you as if you were mentally unstable or dumb ! I hate this place, this dmv should be taken down and not even exist in this world ! Garbage ass service and garbage ass people !

  On the day I visited, this review would have been 3 or 4 stars but... I went online and booked an appointment to renew my license and upgrade to an enhanced license. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING AN APPOINTMENT - WILL SAVE YOU TONS OF TIME. Because I had an appointment, I was sent to separate line to check in. They called my number at my exact appointment time. I spent about 5 minutes at the counter including reviewing all my documentation and my vision test, which I easily passed. Up until this point, it would have been 5 stars. Then I was sent back out to wait to pay. After almost an hour wait, I was called to the counter to pay. They reviewed my documentation again, gave me a temp license, I paid an was on my way. Fast forward 2 weeks. My new enhanced license arrives - with my OLD ADDRESS and indicating that I wear corrective lenses. DMV totally screwed up. I emailed the DMV to see if this could be corrected online and they indicated that because it's an enhanced license, I could not update either my address or eye test results online and would require another trip to the DMV. This may be true for the eye test, but is NOT true for the address - I was able to update my address online, but I did have to pay extra for a replacement license - it was worth the $17.50 to not have to deal with another lengthy trip to the DMV.

  4 hours to surrender plates... terrible waist of time. The most precious this we have is time. Wirh only so much of it left in my life. I would not have wanted to give over 4 hours to the DMV.

  5 hours waiting to renew my license! First wait four hours to take your photo - then sit back down and wait to have your paperwork "processed". Ridiculous! My last trip to DMV to get a driver's license (6 years ago) took about an hour and a half. Nice to see how DMV, along with everything else on Long Island, has devolved.

  I would never go back to this DMV. I came all the way from the Bronx to register my car. Just because my insurance didn’t have today date , they couldn’t give me plates mind you I just renewed my insurance.I came in at 11:30am and walked out at 3:12pm with nothing. They passed me around with every number. The wait time is ridiculous. The attitude the workers carry among themselves are not professional. If you don’t like your job than you shouldn’t work there. I was standing at window 7, the lady sat there with a face the whole time, while trying to help us. Spoke with an attitude that was not even necessary. RIDICULOUS! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Don’t even bother wasting your time because you will be there the whole day.
