This is a great little hostel In Brooklyn. The hostel is nice & clean & the staff are super friendly. Also there is a nearby subway that allows easy access to Manhattan. Rooms are a nice size & the beds are comfortable. Will stay here again!

I've stayed in nearly 10 hostels over the past couple years, none came close to being as great as NY Loft The bedrooms were clean, my 4bed male suite had a private bathroom Breakfast was served in the mornings in a very cool open kitchen - toast, bagels, OJ, coffee, fruit, eggs, etc. In the evenings they served free food and had a live band in the basement bar. - burgers, dogs, beers Metro is close by, so getting to Manhattan takes only 20min or so. overall awesome experience

The loft is full of character and it's very clean and comfortable. They offer use of a very nice kitchen attached to a large outdoor area. Definitely one of the nicer hostels in New York

[FACILITY] Clean rooms with nice kitchen to hangout with the others. In the morning for your free breakfast, they even wash a dish for you. [NEIGHBORHOOD] Neighborhood is super hip; mega scale vintage clothing stores and cool galleries. [STAFF] Staff in the hostel is willing to help.

Very clean, cool atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Ask for blankets when you check in (they don't give you anything but a single sheet unless you ask and rooms can be cold). CONS: (1) Hostel construction right now: it can be very loud at times; (2) Subway construction: On weekends (not sure for how long) the L-line into the city is shut down and you have to backtrack on the same line to transfer or walk 10 minutes to the next line. Not the worst thing but good to know; (3) Sketchy neighbourhood: Sketchy at night, particularly when trying to walk to the M or J line at Flushing station (because the L-line is under construction on weekends). Daytime isn't so bad but I felt on guard. Might be better during the week when more shops are open (New York has a tendency to look desolate when things are closed because shops close big garage doors over their storefronts).
