  Great and historic New York establishment. Food could be better and of course you’re paying a steep premium, but it’s a must visit.

  This place has a good casual atmosphere, the decor and service was amazing, and the food was good as well. If I didn't mention the casual atmosphere, make sure to pay attention to the casual atmosphere and the food.

  An American classic. Fish is cooked perfectly and the service in the dining hall is top notch. Check out the old timey phone numbers on the windows for some modern surprises.

  Wouldn't make a night or destination of it, but worthy of a drink or two when in the area. Full of old school feel and charm, a great hole in the wall (actually pretty big once inside) where you can belly up to the bar and get a reliable cocktail or beer. But note, this is fancy midtown, where cocktails are +$17 and beers +$10.

  Cool place with a casual chic atmosphere. Not too trendy, not too classic, just the perfect mix. Vichy tablecloths, red leather seats, copper and wood. Fun monkey illustrations on the wall. The room in the back is a bit fancier. Good cocktails, decent selection of wine. Live piano when we were there on a Saturday night. Service was not enthusiastic but good enough.
