::The Mayton is a lovely property. The rooms and hallways are spacious and classy. The rooms have high ceilings and natural lighting. The rooms feature a sound machine like switch that was awesome! We stayed for 4 nights mid-week and the hotel was modestly occupied. Great location, food, rooms and staff.

::My company recently hosted a conference at The Mayton and it was wonderful! The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable and the food was fabulous! The hotel is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, which gave our attendees something to do with their free time. I would recommend The Mayton for business or pleasure!

::The positive of our stay was the housekeeping team. They are SHARP. Our room was spotless and the hotel overall was spotless. There was even one day we were in and out of the room until about 4pm and housekeeping made sure to circle back to service our room while we were gone. I really appreciated their attention to detail and working to not inconvenience us. The negatives: This hotel is not at all a 4 star hotel in my opinion. My husband and I have stayed at several 4 star hotels and this one ranked the worst. When I first arrived, there was no one to receive me. I had to hound down (what appears to be) one cart and carry my bags to my room myself. At one point I called to the front desk and asked for someone to bring up a wine opener and I was advised to use one found in the second floor ice room...I've never had to venture to open my own wine at any other 4 star hotels. For the price of the stay I expect much better service. We attended a brunch (in one of the aux rooms at the hotel) catered by the hotel's kitchen and the food was barely edible. The French toast was extremely yolky, the chicken was incredibly dried out and the waffle was so hard it crunched like a potato chip. The service was pretty unacceptable as well as dirty plates had to pile up on one of the five tables because other people had to sit down to eat and no one had came to clean it up for over an hour. Also, it seems the capacity of the kitchen can't support a brunch with over 10 people so should probably not offer it. We were waiting around for more food to come out during the entirety of the brunch. For the price of the hotel we just felt the service should have been a lot better.

::Have stayed here twice. We are locals and we stayed the first time when our HVAC died in the summer. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay again for our birthday weekend doing a "stacation" so we could walk to all our favorite restaurants and bars. Both times the rooms were very comfortable and uniquely decorated. I adore that they have a white noise system you can adjust to your liking. Also recommend eating at their restaurant, but it is best to have reservations for that. Nice bar, too.

::Rooms are very nice, big bathtub, good water pressure. The shower sucks, at least in out room, the door opens inwards making it super awkward to use. The bar downstairs is very pricey, 16 bucks for a Manhattan drink...didn't bother with the restaurant. Good location overall.
