  I love this place so much. Right downtown and you can feel it, and the community, the coffee and the food are all great

  I love this coffee shop and theater. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast, and the whole vibe is warm and welcoming. The improv shows are creative and always fun. My son has also attended their camps. A great local downtown business - really showcases Austin hospitality and fun.

  A decent coffee shop and cafe, also the front for a theatre under the same name. Although the menu is fairly extensive and the coffee and tea selection adequate, the space itself feels cramped and touristy. Naturally, positioned directly off of Congress st. in the heart of downtown, one can expect as much. Even still, I wish the owners would put more thought into the character of the establishment. It feels cheap, kind of dirty, and still pricy. Grunge is okay but only if used purposefully. At Hideout, the grunge is a weakness, not a strength. Austin is chalked full of one-of-a-kind coffee shops. Hideout will do the job if you have no other options, but if you can help it, take your business to a more intriguing cafe.
