  This place has fallen off for me over time. They are a bit pricey for the quality of the food and the ambiance isn't the best. The service could also be better. The fries aren't good so once the chili and cheese are gone you are left with bland, unsalted fries. They do give a generous portion of pastrami here compared to other locations I've been to. Also they didn't have avocado when I went so that's something to be aware of.

  food is always great. prices are reasonable. $9 for a pastrami. service is always fast. I don't like that each place is clean but not spotless.

  Came at noon for lunch. The place was not so busy considering it was lunch time. The staff all look like they hate this place. They got my order wrong from the burgers to the drinks. When I asked one of them to correct it she rolled her eyes at me. The food itself had no flavor, the fries were stale. The location in Alhambra is better, friendlier and cleaner.

  Great experience. We don't have a The Hat in northern California so fun to stop by. Great pastrami & the chili cheese fries we usually have to share. So large!!! Really good. Only thing is it's a bit expensive $$$

  Oh God huge pastrami dip and side orders, believe me I'm 6'3" and a side of fries or onion rings is good for 2-3 people. The best pastrami dip sandwich anywhere around. No wonder the parking lot is almost always full, there's always a line, and they've been in business for over 60 years. Chili-cheese fries are enough for a meal+ on it's own or a side for 3 people.
