Love the Fillmore! It's a really intimate venue. No seats, it's all general admission. The staff are extremely friendly. They hand out free apples and posters at the end of the show. If you go early, you wait in line by the flag pole outside of the post office. There's a separate line around back if you are trying to buy tickets on the day of the show and it's sold out. I arrived at 5:00 PM to be in the front. No Fillmore specific parking, I would recommend parking a few streets up on Sutter where it's free.

The Fillmore is a no frills music venue whose mood and atmosphere focused on the basics. Easy to get a drink, socialize, and watch the stage. It's not fancy and doesn't try to be. The people who come here are genuine, friendly, and approachable.

Great intimate venue with friendly, helpful staff. We saw Andy Grammer tonight, playing to a sold-out audience. The Fillmore is ~1000 person capacity and it was still reasonably easy to get drinks at the bar, and they had staff serving drinks to the floor regularly. There were a good amount of kids, 9 to 12 in the audience, and it was really nice to see the security offering them free bottles of Crystal Springs water. The historic building is very charming and well-kept and the posters and photos make you want to just wander around like a museum. We parked conveniently across the street at the well-kept Japan Center parking complex for less than $20.

I was at the Fillmore for a Stone Temple Pilots show. It was amazing. The walls inside the Fillmore are covered in a mosaic of posters for shows held there going back to the '60's. A veritable historical wallpaper coats the interior and there is ample standing room to enjoy the show. They have some balcony seating and a very eclectic atmosphere. It is a great place to take in your favorite band, or one you've never heard of before. If you get the chance, definitely add this place to your list if you are anywhere near San Francisco. Ciao.

Awesome venue, just big enough to fit a good size crowd and small enough to still be an intimate setting. it's got tons of history obviously, some of the best artists of all time have performed there for decades, and all the posters you'll see on every wall will be a walk through all the great performances you wish you hadn't missed. They also served complimentary fresh fruit when I was there(which my inner fat kid was extatic about).
