  I live in the mercantile, so I cannot say much about the actual management here. But amenity wise, the Continental is really nice. Upon walking into the building, it smells like a spa. They have a really nice indoor hot tub, sauna, and steam room. They also have a workout room that is never too crowded. The decor is nice and relaxing, and it's overall a very clean. A very unique apartment building.

  This apartment community is the worst. Management censors free speech by removing any negative social media post they have control over. They require you to provide all of your vehicle information and tow your car regardless. I've now had my car towed twice out of my own reserved spot and my car has been damaged both times. Security is a joke. Packages get stolen all the time. A woman was mugged in the garage a few weeks back. Cars are being broken into. They accept housing vouchers so there are plenty of unsavory characters in these buildings. Avoid this place at all costs. I've worked for 5 years in the apartment industry and I've always been understanding of managments perspective, but this place is a mess.

  HORRIBLE Management. They have ZERO concept of customer service and resident safety is their last concern. They are focused on what they "can do" to residents as opposed to thinking of our safety. They have eliminated security, no more security patrol and very poor responsiveness to issues. Call 6 times and you still wont get security because they have 1 person at the Mercantile desk who is accepting packages, access for food deliveries, requests for people entering the mercantile parking garage, people requesting things, getting keys for people locked out, answering the phone, supposedly watching monitors and they might have to go to the bathroom or eat on occasion! And even if you get them on the phone, they have no one to send to address the issue. Homeless sleep at the Continental dock and anyone that wants smokes there including marijuana. They will TOW your car first and find an excuse later. My registered car, in my designated space with the placard and sticker they gave me and paying $140 per month- they still towed. Excuse- office should not have given me that placard. Another time, no parking spaces available, called security, told to park in space, result = towed. Excuse- security should not have told me to park there. Another time, parked for literally 5 minutes at the dock to run in with kids and run back out - result towed even though it is common practice with many residents parking there for hours at a time and in my and my kids safety interest to have done so. They don't even walk the parking garage anymore, they give the towing company open access to tow whenever they want and all without ever calling you. They absolutely do not care how they affect your day or your safety. Not only have they messed up my day 4 times with towing, put me and my daughter's safety at risk, the towing company damaged my vehicle and refused to pay for it and so did the property owner Forest City Realty. Amenities- they love to use them as sell points but when they break down they will tell you they are not required to keep them maintained. The hottub was broke for over 7 months. The steam room has already been broke for months with no end in sight. The elevators and parking garage gates break about every other month and will be down 1-3 weeks. The rooftop is lovely but they use it as a revenue generator more than a resident amenity. Just about every weekend it will be rented out for the ENTIRE day. The grill on the rooftop, you can put food on it and only parts of it will cook. They wont fix it. TV's in the Continental gym, not functional over 6 months. We use to have Yoga, cancelled and supposed to have workout on demand access, 8 months now and counting and still not functional. This is supposed to be a no smoking complex, but people smoke especially marijuana on the rooftop, in the parking garage, at the pool, in their apartment, the entire hallway can be in a fog on weekends and the smoke will come into your place through the bathroom vents. No prevention or enforcement :-(((( When you complain and tell your issues to property management their response is- "if you don't like it here you can move out". Carpeting on the floors- embarrassingly disgusting. the dogs urinating at the entrance- gross. Maintenance people are great and responsive. Maintenance gets 5 stars.
