::This is my 3rd cake from The Cakery and this one was not a success. I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. I had requested raspberry flavor with white chocolate icing - i asked several times if they thought it would be too sweet. If so I wouldn't mind to select another option. They reassured me over and over that it would not be sweet - and not to worry. So I didn't. And of course the cake was so so sweet - you could taste the sugar granules in the raspberry cream. It was a two tier cake and the bottom tier was pretty much whole when all the guests left (we had 45 guests - so i guess word got around that the cake was too sweet - no one wanted it). It was a theme cake, so i provided toys to be put on top and I had mentioned that I didn't want bright colors but wanted something more sophisticated looking. This cake looked absolutely home made - as in the icing wasn't even, several of the guests were convinced I had made the cake ha ha that's how amateur it looked. For $130 you would expect a cake that doesn't look like something a 17 year old made in a rush. the first two cake I ordered from there were when Pia Marino was an employee - and she was excellent with taking down the notes and producing elegant 'non-homemade' looking cakes. I was in such a rush the day i picked it up and it was raining so I didn't get to observe it well in the store. But it really seemed like someone with no experience made this cake. I could have made it myself and saved $100. It was terrible. So they lost a client. I won't be ordering from the Cakery again.

::They say that good customer service is a thing of the past? Wrong! The ladies at the Cakery in Southlake were very nice and understanding to me when I was unsure exactly what design I wanted for my daughters birthday cake. They helped come up with the desig, and the end result was AMAZING! Everyone at the party kept commenting on how beautiful the cake was, and how YUMMY it tasted ! It was perfect! Thanks so much to the Cakery !
