::I had the unfortunate experience to be mugged by several local men recently , on the sidewalk, right in front of the Betsy Hotel. I was out numbered three to one. I ran into the hotel lobby and asked them to call the police. The three gentlemen who were trying to steal my bag attempted to follow me inside the hotel. The Betsy security guard appeared but refused to call the police and then asked me " If I was a guest . I told him I was not. He then told me I would then have to leave, as only payed Guests were allowed to be there. All the while the men who were attempting to rob me stood on the other side of the door waiting for me. He actually tried to force me out into the hands of the muggers. I refused to leave and the security guard said he would call the police if I didn't leave right then. ????!!!!! I said good , call the police . The security guard continued to threaten me but I said ,as soon as the police show I'll leave. Thankfully the girl working the reception called the police and after a period that seemed forever Miami Beach PD showed up. The three muggers had taken off but I gave my report tp PD. All the while the same "security guard hung around trying to ridicule and make fun of me . Would you ever even imagine staying at a place like this

::I’ve stayed at a LOT of nice hotels, but the Betsy stands out as one of the best. The room was immaculate and had kind of a Cuban-artsy feel to it. And the location was perfect. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

::The suites are very nice. The service is top of the line. They provide many amenities like beach chairs, robes, pool (roof and outdoor) and a fitness center.

::It would be easier if the buildings were a little less complex. Lots of elevators and Doorways to go through to get to your room. Service was good. Location is great. The pool is nice.

::Bellissimo Boutique Hotel. Spiaggia a 2 passi come anche da locali. Camere non troppo grandi ma curate. Ristorante buono. A volte ci sono serate live. Prezzo medio/alto.
