A friend actually recommended this place to me a few months ago and a week ago we decided to go because she was so animate about me giving this a try. I wish I had come here much sooner, when I went I expected to see this snobbish kind of place full of people that would be judging others based on how they look. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere of the place. I felt it was rather up scale but the place was very laid back and I didn't feel judged coming in. The food and the drinks where top notch which was great and I would absolutely come back and visit the place again. I think it's the perfect place for a relaxed night with friends and even family.

They're all about tbe cocktails and actually shake them to perfection. They have a large selection scotches, whiskeys, and Bourbons. Food was also great. Not your average bar menu. Presentation was just as good as the taste. Decor is nice and they have a mini beer garden. This is now my go to spot

The Astorian is a solid bar and restaurant with a good beer selection. The ambiance is a bit basic but it’s pleasant. They have a digital beer menu behind the bar and it’s truly amazing. It actively lists beers that they have and beers are removed if they’ve run out of them. This same digital menu also lists the beer type, gives the origin of the beer, and on the right hand side of each listing is a small icon visual of what the beer looks like- the color of the beer and even the glass size and shape are depicted. The food menu looked good though I didn’t try any. They have a decently sized vegetarian section, too, which is great. Recommended.

Very nice bar, definitely a spot you would take a date if you want to impress. Menu is more in the pricey side but the crew here knows what they're doing. Some of the best drinks I've had in Astoria. Upstairs there's a lounge area with couches, fireplace and big screen tv.
