::Nice hotel, but no room service and a really odd temperature setup in the suite where the two thermostats constantly worked against each other. There was no way to change the thermostats to just heat or just cool so one heated and the other cooled constantly fighting each other. Rooms were clean. Staff did the quick knock then instant barge-in once- was apologetic. Overall, the location is awesome.

::We stayed here for a date night. The lady who checked us in Angie was very friendly and when she found out we were on a date night had a bottle of wine sent up to us as a surprise. The extra effort was really appreciated! My reason for taking off a star is the beds were very uncomfortable. At a hotel of that caliber I would expect a much more comfortable bed with higher quality linens.

::Lovely spot with very nice people working there. They have a lovely tradition of a specific whiskey drink that they serve every night (except when they don't). The drink is very tasty, but they probably should embrace this more robustly. They were super nice, but couldn't speak to the reason for this. It was great, but could be more fun! Breakfast at King and Rye was very delicious.

::I’ve stayed here on numerous occasions, as well as other Marriott properties in Old Town Alexandria and the Alexandrian is by far my favorite. The front desk staff are wonderful. The lobby area is warm and inviting; atypical of most, but more representative of an Autograph Collection property. The rooms are nice, well appointed with Keurig coffee makers in each. If you are fortunate enough to get one of the handful of balcony rooms you will have a nice place to sit and look out over the central courtyard vs. the busy King street. Highly recommend to stay and enjoy old town from a very central location.

::Beautiful hotel in the middle of Old Town, location is perfect for riverside access, trolley/buses, shopping. The interior is niche, with a genteel vibe. Customer service was excellent. We especially appreciated the assistance from Sammy, the hotel manager. We had a few issues, however: 1. Our first room was situated next to a storage room, and there was an intermittent buzzing that came through the wall that sounded every 5 seconds. We asked if facilities could address the issue. Apparently it could not be fixed, so after one night of waking up repeatedly to the noise, the hotel changed our room. 2. Our room had a balcony overlooking the interior courtyard, which was quite nice for enjoying the fall weather. However, the last night we were there the hotel was hosting a lawyer convention in the courtyard, and the noise from the convention easily penetrated into the room, even though we were on the 5th floor. Fortunately, the festivities stopped promptly at midnight, after which we could sleep. As the courtyard is bounded on all four sides by the hotel, any significant noise will be echoed and amplified for any rooms facing the courtyard.
