  Highly recommend visiting here first before touring the grounds as they will make sure you don't miss a thing during your trip and leave well informed. Very friendly staff.

  great stop! They had lots of brochures for all of Texas and Austin and lots of history on the capitol. It is a great place to start your tour of the grounds. We parked in the capitol visitor parking garage. It was large and close by. A good choice. The day we went it was free, so I have not idea what they normally charge.

  A great place to explore. Has a great gift shop too!!! I enjoy going there for special Texas postcards to send to friends out of state.

  Visit here every year with my students. They love this field trip and the things they learn here. They have a great rotation to keep kids engaged in Texas history.
