  A few years ago I had water damage in my garage. The first company that came estimated about $4,000 to clean, and dry, (NO repair, just tear-down walls). Then Tech Clean came and did the work and collected the $5300 from USAA homeowner's insurance and charged me an additional $5600. They never actually sent me a bill and never called me to inform me that there was an additional charge. NY has a 4 month window that contractors can file a lien on a home for unpaid work so since the 4 months was almost here they filed the lien and I never knew about it until some nasty man from a Lien enforcing company called me threatening to take me to court. I called Tech Clean and tried to work out a lower payment for this unjust charge but "Arthur" (im pretty sure that's his name) would not even talk about it. That guy was pretty much a terrorist. About a year ago I called and spoke with a friendlier more sane individual who explained that Arthur was no longer there and he worked out a smaller payment with me and had the lien removed. Overall the entire experience was awful. They charged me for things that were not done, and days that no one worked, and claimed they ran their dehumidifiers longer then they actually did. I do hope that they operate differently now but I would never suggest working with a company that allowed a man like this Arthur person to terrorize homeowner's.
