  I recently moved to Washington and could not find real Jamaican seasonings or restaurants. I would hardly eat anything (especially being pregnant) so my husband and I decided to try googling restaurants and we came up on this one. I must say that the food is AMAZING!!!! It was a little quiet but I’m from Jamaica and most of our restaurants aren’t busy during the day so I’m used to it. We tried the appetizer platter, jerk chicken and oxtail with rice and peas. The meat was so tender and juicy and the rice and peas was cooked perfectly in coconut milk. It may be all the way on Capital Hill but it’s worth the journey. FANTASTIC FOOD AND SERVICE!!!

  A group of ladies and I ate here this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and drinks. The server (bless her heart) was the only one serving the entire dining area as (we later learned) her co-worked unexpectedly went out of town. I think sometime after we arrived she finally called the owner to get some assistance. The owner came straight from the gym, still in her gym clothes, and immediately began helping customers. Both the server and the owner showed no outward signs of frustration - they were extremely professional AND even comp'd us on a Curried Pork entree (which was out-of-this-world fabulous). They apologized for the delay in service and appreciated everyone's patience. The only caution I would give is in regard to the rum cake... because it is super strong!

  Great place to eat. I had the curry chicken today and it was great. Plantains were amazing. I usually get the oxtails, but I decided to switch it up. My only gripe is they said they wouldn’t have beef patties until Friday. That is something that should be available everyday. Please keep the patties regularly available.

  Casual atmosphere with delicious food! There is a stage in the main dining area. The band Comfort Food was playing some great jazz when I visited. The jerk seasoning is spot on. It has just the right amount of heat, with an abundance of flavor. The chicken was moist and perfect in everyway. Fantastic, especially for the price!

  Love the food and the cultural feel. I make the drive from Tacoma usually on Saturdays every once and a while. In fact I'm going this evening. Always good service, great drinks, and amazing food. I'd highly recommend this establishment if you have a taste for something with a great flavor.
