  A cheaper option for the area. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice. It all looked and smelled nice in its container but unfortunately didn’t taste good. The chicken was tender but flavorless. It also wasn’t spicy. The vegetables are steamed and a little undercooked. The vegetables and brown rice were both flavorless as well. My order was done relatively quickly and even though I didn’t like it, the place was packed so obviously others like it. I only took a few bites before giving up on it altogether. Peanuts were also thrown on top of it all, I guess as a garnish. If you’re allergic to peanuts I wouldn’t recommend this entree.

  The steak tacos & fajitas are ammmazzinnggg!! And Nina at the front register is super welcoming and friendly. She takes the time to explain what you get with your food, asks how your day was, and how to make it better! Thanks Nina!

  Taste Chinese Restaurant is exactly what you'd expect and want should you stumble upon it. Their General Tso's is among the best I've had. You can ask for dishes with varying levels of spice. This is great for me, considering I love mine extra hot. Taste has all the classics / staples and then some. I really appreciate that they are super close to a metro station I typically use. The service is decent, food is always prepared by the time I arrive, but still hot. The service is great even though I've had some of my friends say they struggled when ordering over the phone. The food is all made to order, so you're never getting anything stale. I definitely would not say this place is upscale or even the best Chinese in NYC - but it's always gotten the job done at a reasonable price.

  Food is good/has room for improvement and better than this place called China Red on Chambers St. But I'm only giving them 3 stars because they have a habit of taking the phone off the hook I'm assuming when they get busy. I can't order for pick up or delivery if you have the phone off the hook hence also losing future customers.

  The person at the counter, who said his name was Runan Zheng, swiped my card five times and kept saying that the transaction was not getting approved. I trusted him and handed him my card for swiping as his machine was on the counter below. On checking my account I was shocked to find that the amount of the bill was debited five times. On encountering the person again with the email from the bank mentioning the successful transactions, he said there is something wrong with the machine. He had whatsoever no apology. Be very careful when you visit this place.
