  Good beer selection (including sour beers), pretty well priced(5.50 for a pint) and the staff was nice. The food was not that great tho'. We only had some appetizers but the fries were undercooked and the humus plate was average. If you're looking for a place with a lot of beer, fun games and nice staff give this a shot, for food I'd try some other place.

  This is a pretty fun place. We were able to get it for a work event. Which we got a great selection of beers (IPA) and got unlimited access to the arcade. It's a great place for people who love the arcade. I could sure see the younger crowd who wants new games not linking it. Great for the middle age and older crowd.

  I love this bar! The beers are very well chosen, and the menu has great options for anyone, including a truly killer veggie burger and (my favorite app ever) huge soft Munich-style pretzels served with a good strong mustard. Thanks to the Tapcade crew for providing such a totally comfortable and welcoming place to hang out!

  We only went for dinner, so I can't speak to their beer selection or arcade, but both seemed great. The $5 all you can play arcade is a great deal! I had the KC poutine, which was good, although a little on the sweet side. The guys I was with enjoyed their burgers, but no one was very impressed with the chili cheese fries. The service and atmosphere were the high points. We'll definitely visit again when we're in town.

  Tapcade is a fantastic bar! It's one of my favorites in Kansas City. Just as a bar on its own, it's a good place to get drinks or hang out with friends. It's not too loud, the employees are very polite and power provide great service by getting drinks for you or helping you out, and work hard to keep the place clean and make everybody happy. Tapcade also has a great beer list. What makes Tapcade more than just a good bar and gets it a five star rating are the games. They have at least a dozen old school arcade games you can play as many times as you want for free and you can play almost all of them with a friend or, for at least one game, with 3 other people. They also set up an Nintendo 64 on a projector so you can play Mario Kart with four people total and have other games or even other systems on projectors elsewhere. You can spend a long time getting drinks (at reasonable prices) and playing old arcade games (for free) with friends not even notice the time pass. Usually it isn't very crowded and I rarely have to wait to play a game or get a drink. I'd recommend Tapcade to anyone, even if they aren't a particularly big fan of video games. Once you get in the atmosphere - and have a couple drinks - you'll learn how much fun they can be. Tapcade would get six stars if I could give more of them!
