  Dirt parking lot where people park illegally through sidewalk. Unsafe station. Free parking. But won't recommend this place.

  Smashed windows, stolen car batteries, used condoms on the ground... This place is the hood.

  There are 2 Tamien stations one is for Light Rail, the other is for CalTrain. For me CalTrain is within walking distance from my apartment, has a free shuttle on weekends and holidàys, with nice helpful people. The Light Rail is just as close as CalTrain, there is an escalator to take up to the boarding area, you purchase your ticket downstairs from a ticket machine. You must have a ticket before boarding the Rail. If you call a cab for the CalTrain station, be sure to tell them that you are at the station off of Lick St., otherwise they will go to the west side of the station, can get confusing.

  The tamien station is the best couse the train is always on time never runs late or something

  My mechanic just confirmed that my tires were slashed! Parked my car at Tamien Station this weekend and when I returned, both tires on the drivers side were flat!!! Park here at your own risk!!!! I called to report to VTA so they would be aware of what's going on on their lots and they basically told me that I park at my own risk and I'm the one that needs to be careful!! She could care less that I was reporting the vandalism so no one else would have to go through this! Terrible customer service! I wish I could give them 0 stars!!!
