  I was beyond broken. Spent waaaaaaaay too many years out drugging and drinking. Knew a friend who had a friend who started the recovery process at Talbot. I made the call and my friend drove me there. Was literaly shaking as I walked in the door. Was met with a warm hug and had my belongings taken as I checked in. The process took a couple of hours. I went to my bed and all my clothes had been washed dried and folded on my bed............Then had a warm homemade meal and began the process of becoming a functioning human being again. For decades I had my own higher power. I did everything in my power to get high.............From Talbot I went to CK Post and now in transition housing. Hit the 7 month clean mark this month. You are not going to hit rock bottom till you put down the damm shovel and stop digging! IT CAN BE DONE! Thanks all the staff of Talbot Update: 10/18/17 Hit ONE YEAR mark! If I did it you can!!

  coming up on 17 years clean and sober,talbot house set the stage for my recovery......although i didnt stay clean upon leaving and my bed date at C.K. Post i got there.....few months later my sober journey began....thank you talbot house for being there when i had no where else to go.....THANK YOU FOR TAKING A HOPELESS DOPE ADDICT,N MAKING HIM A DOPELESS HOPE ADDICT

  I may owe my life to the fact that they were there when I had no where else to turn; often the case when alcoholism/addiction has got a hold of your life. All kindness with rules...just what I needed..... 3 years later and the above words are insufficient to describe my gratitude. Thank You. Jeff
