::Same here, put the basket down and wait for half minute until the cashier said only one word to me - OUT, I never been to a supermaket that do that to the customer. They should post a sign and let peoples know they should take out there groceries out so the cashier will not giving you a hard time. Anyway will never shop there again.

::I set the basket of food on the conveyor belt and immediately the check out "worker" stared me down then snapped "what, do you want me to take it out of the basket for you?" My first instinct was to apologize and began removing the items out of the basket onto the conveyor belt so she could pick them up from the conveyor belt and scan them. I said "sorry - I thought you worked here". She quipped "I do work here, but that's not my jobs [sic]. My jobs is to scan the stuff." So the only thing she does is "scan the stuff", which is easily the least helpful job in the store. She isn't even replaced by robots these days. Customers scan their own items. She is replaced by....nothing. I walked out and gave her a job to do - but those groceries back.
